The Government of Uttarakhand has officially revised the minimum wages for all scheduled employments, effective from April 1, 2026. Business owners and HR leaders operating in the state must update their payroll systems immediately to ensure strict legal compliance and prevent hefty penalties.
The state’s Labour Department issued Notification No. 1203/4-01/2024 to adjust the base rates and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA). To maintain operational continuity and avoid back-wage liabilities, employers must cross-verify their employee structures against the newly designated wage tiers.
The amended rates for all the categories are as below:-
