This is for your information, The Labour Commissioner Government of Kerala has issued the attached notification dated 10.03.2025 for the need for providing suitable seating arrangements for all workers in shops and establishments so as to prevent prolonged standing during duty hours. It mandates that employers must provide protective equipment and clothing that meet the standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards to ensure employee safety against physical and chemical hazards.
As per notification, Companies may need to revise their compliance programs to incorporate new safety protocols, employee training on the use of protective equipment, and regular assessments of workplace conditions to ensure adherence to the updated regulations.
