Notification for OSH registration for Gujarat – SGC Services

This is to inform you about an important compliance requirement now applicable to establishments in Gujarat. Based on the latest instructions issued by the Labour Department, The Gujarat Government has implemented the Gujarat Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2025 for Factories, construction sites, industrial establishments and commercial establishments employing 10 or more workers and are required to register online under the OSH&WC Code, 2020.

Below are the key points of the attached notification-

Mandatory Online Registration of Establishments under Section 3 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
The registration needs to be done online on the Shram Setu Portal and the approved certificate will also come online.
New establishments: Must apply online through Form-1 and obtain the registration certificate within 60 days.
Existing establishments: Already registered under previous labour laws must update their registration certificate through Form-1 within 180 days.
The registration certificate must be clearly displayed at the main establishment, either physically or digitally.
Non-compliance or submission of false information may attract a penalty under Section 94 of the OSH&WC Code, 2020, with a minimum fine of ₹2,00,000 and maximum fine of ₹3,00,000.
