Official Notification Details
The official calendar was released vide Notification No. RDM-Reg-MISC-0021-2025-42428/R&D.M.. This mandates specific days as public holidays across Odisha’s state government offices, revenue and magisterial courts, and other institutions for the calendar year 2026, in accordance with the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
The list includes a blend of national holidays and significant state-specific festivals, with a total of 29 general holidays declared.
Note: Festivals like Maha Shivratri and Diwali fall on Sundays or second/fourth Saturdays in 2026 and are not declared as separate holidays.
